Welhelm Keulder
Operational Director
Welhelm Keulder is part of the management team that founded Radio Network Solutions (RNS) in June 2006. He is responsible for deploying and managing all operations and projects, thereby ensuring that they are completed on time and within budget. With more than 23 years of relevant experience, Welhelm is an ambitious and diligent leader who places tremendous pride in his work. He has a N6 Diploma and Certifications in Advanced Project Management, civil engineering and Level 2 iBwave Design.
Minky de Winnaar
Logistics Manager
Wilhelmina de Winnaar, better known by her colleagues as Minky, joined the RNS team on 1 March 2013. As Logistics Manager, Minky oversees the movement, distribution and storage of materials. Her responsibilities include management of the warehouse and taking responsibility for the inventory control, material handling, transportation, as well the directing, optimising and coordination of the company’s full order cycle.
On top of her 16 years of relevant experience, Minky boasts a Purchasing and Supply Diploma, as well as an Advanced Logistics Diploma.
Bertha Williams
Health and Safety Officer
Bertha Williams is a qualified Safety Officer, who has also completed a leading course in Occupational Risk Management in the Workplace at the internationally recognised and accredited training provider, SAMTRAC. She joined the RNS Team on 1 August 2016. As the RNS Health and Safety Officer, Bertha has to ensure the company is compliant to legislative requirements. Other administration duties she has to fulfil include focussing on health and safety management, as well as contractor management.
During the last two years, Bertha has come to value the synergy experienced amongst contractors working with RNS and takes great pride in improved customer liaison.
Willie Jooste
Site Supervisor
Willie Jooste started his career at RNS in June 2013. With more than half a decade’s relevant experience, Willie’s core responsibilities include the planning and implementation of DAS systems and the management of DAS sites.
As Site Supervisor, Willie is dedicated to seeing each project through from its inception to completion, until the final hand-over to clients.
He has completed various RNS learnership sponsored programmes, inclusive of RF Principles training, Working at Heights: Basic, Level 1 First Aid, and Basic Fire Fighting.
Philip Malherbe
Site Supervisor
As one of the company site supervisors, Philip is responsible for all aspects pertaining to a site build, ensuring that execution of each site occurs on time, on budget and to specification. His tasks include project planning, critical path planning, materials planning and asset tracking. In addition, Philip liaises with customers to ensure quality both on and off sites.
Philip initially joined the RNS Team at the Johannesburg Headquarters in October 2016, and has since relocated to the RNS Cape Town branch in February 2018.
He has completed the Kaelus, Passive Intermodulation (PIM) Course, in 2017, as well as the NOSA, Working at Heights Course, that both form part of the RNS learnership sponsored programmes.
Patrick de Villiers
Jnr Site Supervisor
As Jnr Site Supervisor, Patrick de Villiers is responsible for the site testing and generation of the walk test reports for our DAS installations. When not walk testing Patrick can usually be found in Botswana, where he installs and verifies battery protection devices and solar site installations.
He joined RNS in November 2016, and currently has more than three and a half years of relevant experience.
Patrick is a qualified electrician and has also completed the AutoCAD fundamentals course, which is one of the RNS Learnership sponsored programmes.
Riaan Niemand
DAS Designer
Joining the RNS Team in August 2016, Riaan Niemand’s 15 years of relevant experience, National Technical Diploma in Radio/Radar and Level 2 Certification in iBwave Solutions have been of great value in his position as Distributed Antenna System (DAS) Designer.
Riaan’s main focus at RNS includes the design of In-Building coverage solutions as well as technical support for these projects.
Grant Milne
Senior CAD Draughtsman
Grant Milne has been part of the RNS team since March 2016 and fulfils the CAD requirements across the business spectrum of the company. With more than 25 years of relevant experience, Grant is responsible for the processing of architectural building plans for use in iBwave Solutions (wireless networks design software) by the RNS in-building DAS design teams. He also designs and generates the working drawings of macro-sites, inclusive of greenfield, co-locations, upgrades and solar-sites, for clients across Southern Africa.
Grant holds a National Higher Diploma in Theoretical Architecture and shares his wealth of knowledge and experience by providing on-the-job training for RNS’ junior draughtsmen.
Heinrich Jooste
Project Manager
Heinrich Jooste joined the RNS team in November 2010. He has almost two decades of telecommunications experience under his belt including working on infrastructure projects in Botswana, Uganda and Nigeria.
Heinrich is responsible for the planning, budgeting, documentation and overseeing of all aspects of the projects he manages.
He has completed and holds a BAA Course (Academy of Emergency and Critical Care), NOSA General Health and Safety, as well as Introduction to SAMTRAC certifications.
Robin Pfister
Project Manager
Robin Pfister joined the Radio Network Solutions (RNS) Team in August 2016 as a Project Manager, overseeing all the projects in the Western Cape. Managing every step from conception to completion, he ensures that everything and everyone, including clients and contractors, run like clockwork.
With more than eight years of experience in the cellular RF Industry, and four years in the Terrestrial RF Industry, Robin is busy making his mark in the RNS Team.
Henry Madisa
Storeman
Henry Madisa has been responsible for managing the RNS storeroom since 2014. His position as storeman involves stock controlling, overseeing of contractors’ collections, packing site projects according to the Bill of Materials, delivering goods from the store, as well as receiving, storing, assembling, packing and unpacking of goods. He always ensures that the stockroom is adequately stocked and managed to ensure seamless supply.
Henry holds a matric certificate and has completed various RNS learnership sponsored programmes, inclusive of a Forklift course, RF introductory course, as well as a basic First Aid course.
Mary-Ann de Wit
Administrator
Mary-Ann de Wit joined Radio Network Solution (RNS) in May 2015. Since then she has been managing the office administration and assisting the Financial Manager.
Her duties include local and forex reconciliations and payments, contractors’ purchase orders and invoicing, customer invoicing, as well as petty cash. Mary-Ann also oversees and takes care of our office refreshments, cleaning, and stationery stock, to mention a few.
Steven Grobler
Radio Frequency (RF) Specialist
Steven Grobler joined the RNS Team in 2009 as the internal RF Specialist; he draws from his 37 years of relevant experience to provide technical support to the sales and project teams. Steven has travelled Africa extensively and has designed and managed complex coverage solutions from Game tracking to Tunnels to underground mine coverage and has a catalogue of reference sites to assist in all coverage requirements.
Steven obtained an Electrical Engineering Higher Diploma in Light Current, and has completed various courses, including GSM Transmission, within the communications industry. He revels staying abreast of technology and innovation.
Stuart Robertson
Senior Project Manager
Stuart Robertson joined the RNS team in September 2007 as Logistics Manager, having cut his teeth rolling out networks in Nigeria, Cameroon and Rwanda. His 15 years’ experience in the logistics chain and site-build made him a natural candidate for the Project Management position; and following 10 successful years he now heads up the division.
As the Senior Project Manager, Stuart’s responsibilities include the implementation and overseeing of multi-operator and multi-band DAS solutions for the RNS customer base and other related projects. Stuart holds an N6 Mechanical, T2 Mechanical and Project Management qualifications.
